I have so many things to see and do,

We don't always realize how precious life is
Or how precious the moments are, that we share
Until we experience the loss of someone we love
And we face the greatest pain in life we must bear.
We recall moments that stir feelings within us
Moments filled with laughter, smiles, and tears
Moments where trials and triumphs were shared together.
Moments to be cherished for many years,
And when the moments have turned into memories
We long to recover those days that have passed
Our memories will keep our loved ones alive in our hearts,
Where forever those treasured moments will last.

The Fifth Season
In the spring of life,
In the flower of youth,
Everything is bright and new.
In the summer of life,
Time of growth and change,
Each day brings new dreams to pursue.
In the Autumn of life,
There's a settling down-
Contentment and sureness in what we do.
In the winter of life,
Comes peace and wisdom,
Time to relax and reminisce, too...
But with the passing of the seasons,
Life is still not done, not through,
For there is yet another season,
When each spirit is renewed.
And it is in this calm fifth season,
In this hopeful second spring,
A time of new awakening.
Each person's life will come full circle,
Even as the season's do,
To start another, different life,
Much better than the one we knew.

I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me now ... I’m Free,
I’m following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to live , to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found my peace at the close of day.
If parting had left a void,
Then fill it with memories of joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these are the things I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed a little too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wanted me now, he set me free.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul free?
Miss me a little but not too long

A time for giving birth, a time of dying.

A time for uprooting what has been planted.
A time for killing, a time for healing.
A time of knocking down, a time for building.
A time for tears, a time for laughter.

A time for throwing stones away,
A time for gathering them up.
A time for refrain from embracing.
A time for searching. A time for losing.
A time for keeping a time for throwing away.
A time for tearing, a time for sewing.
A time for keeping silent, a time for speaking.
A time for hating, a time for war,
A time for peace.

A Light
A light is from our household gone.
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
'Twas hard to part with one so dear,
We little thought the time was near,
Farewell, dear one your life is past,
Our love for you to the end will always last.
We have to mourn the loss of one
We did our best to save;
Beloved on earth, regretted still,
Remembered in the grave.

Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.

After Glow
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,

Of happy memories that I leave

If I should leave this world
Without a warning,
And not even whisper a fond farewell,

From the lips that God has stilled.

Don’t think of him as gone away–
His journey’s just begun,
Life holds so many facets–
This earth is only one...
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost–
And he was loved so much.
