Obituary for Mary Agnes O'Neail

Passed away peacefully on May 29. 2021 at the age of 94. Dear daughter of the late James and his wife Catherine O’Neail. Predeceased by her twin sister Margaret Elizabeth, brothers James and his wife Mary Elizabeth, Thomas and his wife Therese and Edward. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, Kathie and Ed, Jamie, Eugene and Jody, Tari, Patti and Mark, Michael, Tom and Lisa, Tim and Christine, Emma and Adam, Sean and Nicole, Maureen and Bob, Daniel and Luz and many great and great-great nieces and nephews along with her great friend and honorary sister Ruth Ferris and too many wonderful friends to mention who were such an important part of her life.

Music was always an important part of Mary’s life from Sunday night ceilidhs in her childhood home on and she worked in music education for 35 years in London, Ottawa, Windsor and Germany. She was a Choir Director at St. Alphonsus Parish for 32 years and was a member of the CWL, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Women’s Education Society, Windsor Symphony Volunteer Association, Honorary Life Member of the Irish Canadian Cultural Club of Windsor, Honorary Life Member of the Ontario Music Educators Association, was actively involved R.C.C.O. – Windsor Centre and had several years of involvement with the Windsor Symphony Educational Concerts.
