Obituary for Anna Cuffaro (nee Di Salvo)

On Friday, August 7th, at the age of 80 years, our beautiful wife, mother and nonna passed away, having lived a life of unfaltering love and courage. At the age of 18, Anna boldly left her hometown of Siculiana, Italy for the big city of Hamilton, Ontario, determined to build a stable life for herself and her future family. Soon after, she married Calogero Cuffaro, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage and worked tirelessly to provide for their two beloved children: Maria Concetta Plante (late Régis) and Michele ‘Mike’ Cuffaro (Bernadette). Anna loved her grandchildren Anna and Monica Plante and Calogero and Michael Cuffaro beyond words and delighted in passing many traditions on to them. Anna’s overflowing generosity and hospitality will be remembered by all who met her. Her greatest joys in life were cooking, baking, and sewing for her loved ones.
Anna is survived by her dear sister Angela Siggia (Paolo) and joins her parents Salvatore and Antonina Di Salvo
(nee Lo Mascolo) and siblings Giuseppa Bosco (late Giuseppe) and Gaspare Di Salvo in eternal rest. Throughout her last illness, Anna suffered long and patiently, in hopes of having more time with the family she so loved. Her fortitude, faith and trust in the Lord will always be an inspiration to those who mourn her loss.

If you so desire, the family would appreciate donations for Masses in Anna’s memory at St. Benedict Tridentine Catholic Community.
