Obituary for Ada Maria Piccolo (nee Sirianni)

It is with deep sorrow and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother and Nonna with her adoring family surrounded by her side. Born in Pietrafitta, Calabria, Italy on March 1, 1936 and called into eternal life on August 15, 2022 at the age of 86. Cherished and devoted wife of the late Francesco (June 30, 2022), whom she shared 65 years of amorous marriage. Doting and loving mother of George, Adriana, Marisa Taranto (Joe), and Diane Silvestri (Joe). Adored and dedicated Nonna of Adrian, Alexia, Sabrina, Giulia, Ava and Alyssa. Dear daughter of the late Giuseppe and Emilia Sirianni and daughter-in-law of the late Eugenio and Rosina Piccolo. Sister of the late Rosina Martire (Riccardo), Giovanni (Ondina), Pasquale (Vittoria), Amelia Frangella (Riccardo) and Maria LoFaso (Angelo). Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Franceschina Giorgi (Emilio), Carmela DeNucci (Ted), Luigi (Catherine), Vito (Carmelina), Giuseppe (Annina), Maria Martino (Francesco/Adelina), Antonio (Maria), and Dora Fantin (Bruno). Survived by many loving nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, and Italy.

Ada was a devoted wife, mother, & nonna whose entire life was dedicated to her family. She sacrificed & provided only the best to them. Her grandchildren were her most prized possessions & loved to spoil each & every one of them. Nothing filled her heart more than raising them. She enjoyed cooking and baking during the holidays while carrying on family traditions. Pizza and Gnocchi were amongst some of her most favoured specialties. Special thank you to nurses Shelley (telemetry), Rachel (floater) & Vanessa (student) for your exceptional care and comfort provided to our mother.

Memorial donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
