Alan Dalley

Alan Dalley, age 87 of Windsor, passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus on June 19, 2019. Born at home in Aylmer, Ontario on February 13, 1932. He was the loving son of the late George and Jessie Dalley. Loving husband and best friend to Agnes Dalley (Benca) for 63 wonderful years. Loving and proud father of Patricia Lefler (Michael), Diane Williamson (Larry Moran), Robert Dalley, and Janice Johnson (Chris Dufour). Devoted grandfather who will be sadly missed by Daniel (Anri) and Robert (Charlotte) Lefler, Claire and Beth Williamson, Jessica (Nick), Matthew (Riley) and Megan Dalley and Jillian (Corey) Cole. Special great-grandfather of Faith Cole. Dear brother of the late Connie Vincent (Stanley), Ken Dalley (Corky), Patricia Milton (Bill) and Kathryn Wills (Charlie). Also survived by brother-in-law Michael Benson (Pat), and sisters-in-law Faye Ferguson and Anna Arblaster and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Alan worked for 40 years with Canada Employment and Immigration. While working full time, he also found time to coach and follow his children’s activities, always cheering and encouraging each to do their best. Alan was an active member of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in South Windsor. He was a dedicated fan of the Detroit Tigers and Toronto Maple Leafs and was an avid bowler. Alan volunteered with Windsor Minor Hockey, South Windsor Minor Baseball, and with The Inn of Windsor. He was known as being a caring and sensitive friend to all. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved listening to his grandchildren tell him about their latest accomplishments which gave him a great sense of pride. The family would like to thank Chartwell Oak Park in LaSalle and the 5th Floor Staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus. A special thanks to Rev. Andreas Thiel for his support and guidance to Alan and his family. A very special thank you to Dr. Jeff Price, Liz and Betty. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church or the Shriners Mocha Transportation Fund.
