Obituary for Alexander Joseph Vasily
On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, the world lost a beautiful and unique human being, Alexander Joseph Vasily, at the age of 28.
Beloved son of Susan (and stepson to Jamie) Brimner, and beloved son of Craig Vasily. Cherished brother of Sarah and Katharina Vasily (Joel Soulliere), stepbrother to Justin (Julie) Brimner, Jenna (Jarrod) Shugg and Matthew (Malorie) Brimner. Alex was an adored uncle, cousin and nephew and will be dearly missed by his extended family.
Alex had the most beautiful brown eyes, dimpled smile and a calm, serious nature. He had a heart truly too pure for this world; a creative soul as deep as the ocean, a sense of humour and wit like no other, and a genius brain that never ceased to amaze us.
As a boy and man of so few words, Alex spoke through music. He excelled in everything he put his mind to; a motivated self-learner, he adored books and studying. He had a passion for boxing and a love for nature and fishing.
There will never be enough pages or words to express the soul and being of who Alex truly was and how much he was loved by his entire family.

As Alex is remembered, it is our hope that focus will not be on his death, but on the countless moments of joy, laughter, inspiration, and comfort he gave to those so blessed to be a part of his world.
On behalf of our family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief.
Following cremation, a private celebration of his life will be held for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
