Obituary for Alfred (Bud/Doc) Ladouceur

He passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years old. Beloved husband of the late (2011) Anna May (nee Poisson). Cherished father of Annette Hall of Mississauga, Paul Ladouceur of Harrow, Marie Kirchmeyer (Andrew) of Brampton, and Yvette Ladouceur (Bill Leal) of Windsor. Dearest Pepe of Ryan Kirchmeyer (Ahnna) and Allan Leal. Predeceased by foster parents Willie & Maria Rousseau of River Canard, Ontario and their late son Stanley Rousseau (Corinne). Dear son-in- law to the late Etienne & Madeleine Poisson of Belle River, Ontario. Dear brother-in-law of the late Earl Poisson ( late Thelma); the late Remi Poisson (late Theresa)(late Eleanor); the late Josephine Hartford (late John); the late Victoria Good (late Tom); Mary Ann Shean (late Andrew); Annabelle Beneteau (late Roger); the late Henriette Rivest (Alphonse); Lionel Poisson (late Jeannette); Donald Poisson (Jean); late Lorraine Noel (Frank); Geraldine Legault (late Max); the late Betty-Jane Gagnier (late John); and Richard Poisson (late Donna)(Dorothy). Alfred spent his early years in River Canard where he was given the nickname “Buddy”. He was known as “Doc” at Allied Chemical (General Chemical) in Amherstburg where he was employed from age 16 to 65 as a pipe fitter. Alfred enjoyed many hobbies and interests such as camping, metal detecting, photography, steam locomotive & threshing shows; as well as travelling throughout Canada. Parishioner at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Amherstburg, Ontario. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2023 from 6 pm till 9 pm. at Families First South Windsor, 3260 Dougal Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Private family funeral and burial. Thanks to Seasons in Amherstburg & The Villages of St. Clair (Kingsville neighbourhood) in Windsor for the care provided. Thanks to Erie Shores Healthcare and Windsor Regional Hospital (both Lens and Ouellette campuses). Special thanks to Dr. Zgali and the nursing staff in the Met ER and on the 5th floor for their compassionate care.
