Obituary for Alvin "Al" Proctor

Peacefully on January 28, 2020, in his 91st year, at Hospice Residential - Windsor, with his loving family by his side. Cherished husband and best friend of Barbara (Bottoset, nee Meloche). Loving father of Douglas and wife Wendy, Sharon, Robert, Wayne, Wendy Proctor and Peter Arkinstall. Step-father of Bonnie and husband Rene Tremblay, Brenda Bottoset, Barbara and husband Terry Crozier, Bradley and wife Hollie Bottoset. Dear grandfather of Sandy and Renee, Rob and Heather, Melissa, Jessica, Jeffrey, Vaniece, Ethan, Erin and predeceased by Kevin (2018). Dearest great-grandfather of Shannen, Selena, Ginessa, Kerissa and Sarah. Beloved brother of Clarence, Earl, Maurice, and predeceased by Ross Whiting, Lloyd Whiting and Frances Colvin. Also predeceased by his wife Barbara Proctor (nee Wolfe, 2002).

Al retired from Windsor Police Services, after 31 years. He was a well-respected member of the International Police Association, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 255 and #143, and Moose Lodge #1499. Special thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Hospice Residential Homes – Windsor for their gentle loving care.

Visitation Friday, January 31, 2020 from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.

Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
