Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on May 16, 2021 at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of 66 years to Francesca. Cherished father of Lina & Tullio DiPonti, and Rita & Ray Fusco. Adored nonno of Angelo & Erika DiPonti, Anthony & Lisa DiPonti, the late Lorenzo DiPonti (1993), Elisa & Joshua Moultrie, and Genna Fusco. He will be sadly missed by his great-grandchildren: Colton, Christian, Gabriella, Giuliana and Angelo. Loving brother of Elio & Maria Evangelista. Survived by his sister-in-law Francesca Evangelista. Reunited with his parents Giovanni & Rocca Evangelista, his siblings: Giuseppe & spouse Maria, Pietro, Francesco, Armando & spouse Annunziata, Maria & spouse Emilio, and John Evangelista. Many nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States and Italy also survive.

Angelo immigrated to Canada from Pignataro Interamna, Italy in 1952, in order for him to provide for his family. He began working as a brick layer and became very well known for his dedication and talent. He was one of the best! Being together with his family brought him so much pride and joy. Angelo was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of every person who met him. Proud member of the Ciociaro Club. Special thanks to Dr. David Scarfone and Dr. Burgess, as well as his nurse Julia, who went above and beyond, and his personal support workers for their compassionate care of dad.
