Obituary for Argyro Vasilodimitrakis

Passed away peacefully with loving family by her side at the age of 79. She courageously battled cancer since 2004. Devoted wife of Kostas. Loving mother of Georgina (Mike) and Mehail (1997). Cherished yiayia of Mileena. Dear sister of Nick Brokalakis (Litsa) and family and of the late Maria Sklavakis, wife of Emmanuel and family. Sister-in-law of Louis Vasilodimitrakis (Kiki) and family, Aristides Vasilodimitrakis (Paraskevi) and family. Will be greatly missed by many cousins, in Canada, U.S.A. and Crete Greece, especially Mary Lavdas and family, Spiro Brokalakis and family, Michael Travis, Marie Torakis and family and Elizabeth Milonoyiannis. She will be fondly remembered by many close friends.

We celebrate Loula's life today. She bravely emigrated to Canada from Chania, Crete Greece at a very young age. She was employed as a tailor for years before marrying her loving husband of 50 years, Kostas. Together they had two beautiful children. Loula played a pivotal role in the immigration of many of her family members. Helping her family was her deepest calling. Loula was a devoted wife and mother, always showering those around her with her delicious creations of food and adorning loved ones with her flowers. Many will remember Loula as owner of Honey Good Donuts (Windsor) for 18 years with her family until her retirement. Her precious granddaughter, Mileena, brought sunshine and hope into her heart. Loula's love of all her family left her overflowing with joy. Her spirit continues. A special thank you to Malden Park Palliative Unit Staff, especially nurse Gayle. Donations made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Windsor-Essex Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
