I would always cash out in Barb's lane at Freshco, even if her line was longer. When my son was born, I made sure to bring him to Freshco when she was working so that she could meet him. She was so kind and caring that I looked forward to grocery shopping just so I could chat with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart aches for Lloyd and his family. Barb has always been that smiling and encouraging neighbour that I see on my walks. She has seen my kids grow up and the last time I saw her, my daughter had just learned to ride her bike. I marvelled at how she could always remember my name. Sometimes in our life, we meet sweet, genuine and just nice people like Barb. I started conversations with her at Freshco and on my summer walks by their house. Always met with smiles.
