Obituary for Barbara Jean Bolter (Woodman)
Passed away peacefully in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Percy (2013). Loving mother of Colleen Ionson (John), Michele and husband Alan Hodare, the late Joyce and late husband Raymond Breault, and Patricia and husband Philip. Dear sister of Dr. John Woodman, Noel Newbolt and the late Steve (1990). Cherished grandmother to Rick (Toni), Christine, Aaron (Sara), Ryan (Dayna), Jeff (Jen), Greg (Angela), Doug (Kelly), 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Barbara served with the WRCNS in World War II as a Petty Officer. Barbara retired after many years of service at Hotel Dieu Hospital.
If you so desire in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor Essex would be greatly appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to gather at Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor (519) 969-5841 on Saturday, February 17, 2024 after 11:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12 Noon. Interment of Barbara’s ashes will follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
