Obituary for Barbara Colleen Simons
On May 30th, 2023, Barbara Colleen Simons passed away peacefully at age 77 after a long battle with cancer. Barbara was the loving mother of Debbie. Grandmother to Tiffany, Vanessa, Mitchell and Daniel. Loving wife to Rick Simons. Extended family and friend to many.
Barbara was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cared deeply for her family, neighbours, and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help and to be there for others. Anyone who knew Barbara knew that her bright smile, charm and kindness brought people together.
Barbara regularly helped volunteer her time with the Canadian Legion. Barbara also worked for Children’s Aid, where she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy.
Barbara is survived by her loving family and will forever be missed and cherished in our hearts. Donations may be made to the Children’s Aid Society.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting will be held Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be Wednesday 11:30 am.
