It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bernie on June 21, 2019 at 78 years of age. Beloved husband of 51 years to Elaine (nee Crooks). Cherished father of David Harrison (Christine Marmus), and Kelly McLellan (Chris). Adored “Papa” of Dylan, Jessie, Olivia and their mother Carrie Gearing; Willow, Logan and Jack. Loving brother of Lily Ley (the late Bob), Clifford Harrison, Dennis Harrison (Monique), and Kenneth Harrison (Janet). Dear brother-in-law of Kenneth Crooks (Janet), Monica Ihm (George), Midge Hunt (Jim), and Arlene Best (Wayne). He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends and comrades in Windsor and Elliott Lake. Bernie was a Cold War Veteran in the Queen’s Own Rifles, 2nd service battalion. He was a proud lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12. Bernie retired from Chrysler Canada after 34 years of service. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and truly loved Mother Nature.
