Obituary for Betty Lou Richards (nee Moffatt)
96 years, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Reunited with her “Honey” Johnny (1993). Cherished mother of Lynne (Les) Morvay, Leslee (the late Tom – 1992) Borshuk, Mary Richards (Debbie Dube), and DeeDee (Rob) Barsotta. Much loved Grandma “Betty” of John (Shawna), Leslie (Sandra), Nick (Sarah), Carly, Michael (Jess), Jen, Jason (Chantelle), Katie (Nate) and her grand fur baby Zoey. Special GiGi to 12 great grandchildren.
She was the true Matriarch of the family and will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Betty Lou worked side by side for over 30 years with her husband at Johnny’s Meat Market.
She volunteered for many years with the Red Cross and was a lifetime member of All Saints’ Church where she took on many roles – choir, clothing cupboard, ACW, Neighborhood Centre, Chancel Guild, and set up Scott Hall for many events
