Unexpectedly on April 21, 2023 at 72 years of age. Beloved husband of Georgene (nee Kouvelas). Loving son of the late Ida and late Anthony Olender. Dear brother to Brad (Tan), Tony Jr. (Karen), the late Ruth-Ann Fraser (Cyril), Rob (former spouse Judy) and Judy Ebenhoeh (the late Joe). Dearest brother in law to Dean. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Carl was a proud and dedicated member of Great Western Lodge #47, Scottish Rite, and Shrine amongst others, holding many offices with the dignity and respect those offices represented.

Carl’s first love and life-long passion though was hockey. Those who knew him best, say that he was born with a hockey stick in his hand. His grasp of the game and his ability to pass that training to young players year after year, is his legacy. He joins me in thanking his hockey family for the joy and privilege they have given him by putting their trust in him to teach.
