Obituary for Carla Marcon (nee Modesto)

May 22, 1936- October 25, 2023

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carla at 87 years of age. Reunited with her beloved husband Giuseppe (2009).

Will be dearly missed by Denise (Joseph) Sbrocca, Mary-Lou (Aristide) Pennetti and Luana (David) Milani. Treasured Nonna of Laura (Vittorio), Nicole (Joe “Bepino”), Angela (Darrin), Alex (Alyssa), Victoria, Arianna, and Luca. Special Bis Nonna of Lola, Stella, Beatrice, Elliott, and Micah. Much loved sister of Giovanna (late Rino), late Paola and Antonio, and predeceased by many members of the Marcon family all of Italy. Sister-in-law of the late Bruno (late Lia), the late Luigi (Delini), late Giuseppe (Ida), Aldina (late Bruno), Giancarlo (Eleanor), late Franco (Luciana), Mirella (Nello), and Loredana (John). Carla will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, many from the USA and Italy.

Carla was a member of the Caboto Club Women’s Auxillary. She will be remembered for her many stories of her times growing up in Italy, and her joy of celebrating with family. She never wanted to miss an occasion to be together.

Donations may be made to the Downtown Mission. She had a special place in her heart for St Anthony of Padua Charity in Italy. Donations made to the family will be forwarded to this charity if you desire.

Visiting on Sunday 3-5 & 7-9 pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Monday, family and friends are invited to meet at Corpus Christi Church, after 10 am until time of mass of Christian burial at 11 am. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
