Obituary for Catherine Patricia Ann "Pat" Service (Switzer)
Pat passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023, at the age of 90 years. As a lifelong resident of Windsor, she strived to be kind, thoughtful, and helpful. Family time was special, and she treasured moments with the littlest ones.
Pat was fond of music, delighting in dancing and singing. She enjoyed a game, be it Badminton, Keep-away, or Uno. Her warm smile and quick wit were appreciated by family and friends. Pat loved to tease and to be teased.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Don Service; her parents, Randolph Switzer and Jean Switzer (nee Haugh); and brothers, Doug Switzer (Dorothy) and Reg Switzer (Lorna).
Devoted mother of Christine Robson (Rob Douglas), Brian Service (Beverley), and Guy Service. Proud Gramma of Katie Service (Andrew Tyrrell), Reg Robson (Amie), Phil Robson (Heather), and Laura Service (Wes Swain). Great Gramma of Will, Freya, Owen, Alison, Nora, Cole, Ethan, and Gwen.
Missed by many nieces and nephews.
Pat was a registered nurse and worked with Dr. E.A. Roemmele more than two decades.
