Charles John Pidgeon

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Charlie on August 10 at 88 years of age. Beloved husband of Vera, whom he shared 33 years of marriage. Cherished father to Colleen & Terry, Chuck & Jen, Stephanie & Frank, Shane & Curtis, Paula & Jamie, Melanie & Matt. Proudest Papa to Nathan, Mitchell & Sonja, Brandon & Jessica, Devin, Cavan, Dillon. Great-papa to our adorable Hunter Rae. Reunited with his parents Charles & Nellie and siblings Ernest, Mary, Julie, Stella & George. Dear Brother of John, Francis, Clarence, Doreen. Brother-in-law of Joyce, Rose, Shirley and Walt. He will be missed by his friends of 50 years Len & Rita Hewitt, Marilyn & late Percy Rounding.

Charlie retired from Chrysler in 1995 after 31 years of services and was a proud Union Rep for CAW Local 444 for many of those years.

Survived by many nieces and nephews who all loved their Uncle Charlie. We will love and miss him forever.

If you so desire, donations to Dr. Y. Emara Complex Care would be appreciated by the family.

It was with heavy heart that I heard of Charlie’s passing. He was one of the good olde boys. We shared many a beer and laughter over the years. I’ll miss our getting together and reminiscing. My deepest condolences to Vera and all the family. Until we meet again, Rest in peace brother.

Charlie always exuded the presence of gentleness and peace. He was such a treasure to our neighbourhood. Howard was daily blessed by his early morning conversations with Charlie, when Charlie always greeted him with ‘hey buddy’’, and they would go on to discuss the status of their favourite sports team. We will surely miss him, already do in our hearts. Both, he and Vera and actually the whole extended family are such a pleasure to know. All lovely people. May he Rest In Peace and may Vera and family be blessed and comforted.
