Obituary for Christopher Ng

Passed away on March 4, 2021 at the age of 26. Beloved son of Ada (nee Wong) and the late Joe Ng (2016) and loving brother to Jennifer Ng. Dearest grandson of Lai Chun Wong. Cherished nephew to Agnes (the late Frank), the late Giovanna, Derek (Shirley), Angela (Peter), Leonard (Judy) Ng; and the late Hong Wei, Virginia, Toby (Man Mein), Stephen (Christina), Kitty, Kinny (Jeannie), and Franny (Chin) Wong. Adored by many cousins in Canada, US, Australia and Hong Kong.

Chris was cheerful and happy. He was always making his family and friends smile and laugh, even at times playing tricks on people. He loved listening to the Backstreet Boys, reciting all the lyrics and making videos of himself singing his favourite songs. He had extensive knowledge on the Power Rangers, following the series each season, and adored the Green Ranger. He also had a vast collection of movies which included his favourite movies like Toy Story, Godzilla, The Meg and a collection of Hayao Miyazaki films.

Chris loved spending time with his friends especially his Boys Group and talking on video calls. He was also active in social activities including bowling, winning trophies and achieving incredible overall scores averaging 150, and karate where he earned his Jr. Black Belt from Sensei Lamon Kersey. His love for karate led to his love for Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, always imitating them after watching movies like Rush Hour and Enter the Dragon, respectively.

Chris was very proud to graduate from St. Clair College in Culinary Arts and loved volunteering during his time there. He was also proud to speak Cantonese, willing to teach others how to speak the language, and loved sharing his Chinese culture with his peers.

Chris had such a warm heart and a great sense of humour. He will be deeply missed by all, but will be forever remembered in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be made to the various community programs Christopher was involved with including Community Living Windsor (Ventures) and Community Living Essex County. A scholarship will also be created in memory of Christopher for students in the CICE program at St. Clair College. If making a donation, please make cheques payable to Jennifer Ng.
