Constance "Connie" McKinlay (Elisha)

McKINLAY, Constance “Connie”
(nee Elisha)
Passed away peacefully surround be her loving family and Scruffie on December 21, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Reunited with beloved late husband Robert (1993). Adored mother of Mary Beth, and Laurie. Special grandmother of Victoria, Nolan, and Nyles. Missed by her sister Beth Csordas and husband Jim and their children Christopher, David, Carolyn, and Jonathan. Born in Windsor, Connie grew up on Victoria Street in a beautiful home she often reminisced about. It was large in the Victorian style and the family rented out their extra rooms. It was there she met Bob, honorary handyman, and decidedly handsome fellow who would become her life-long partner. Throughout her married life, she lived in South Windsor, where she raised her family and was a good neighbour to all. In her last years, Connie resided at the Cardinal Place and then Huron Lodge where their compassionate staff provided her with the care she had come to need. Her professional life included a position at CIBC during young adulthood. Then later in life, she truly enjoyed part time work as a florist at the Super Centre and From the Heart, an Ottawa Street card shop. She was a life-long member of All Saints Church and a former ACW President. Connie enjoyed spending time making arts and crafts or gardening. She loved getting out to see new things and has albums full of many trips with friends and family. Animals loved her and she love them right back! An empathetic soul, Connie cared deeply for, and believed the best, in everyone.
