Obituary for Constance Elaine Cooke (nee Trimble)
Connie lived her life her way until the very end.
She leaves behind 4 children: Margo, Mike (Darlene), Marty (Karen) and Rob (Chris); 9 grandchildren: Andrew (Jas), Emma, Amelia (Aaron), Marty, Ian, Sadie (Nick), Nataline (Drew), Adam and David (Riley): great granddaughter Darcy: numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents: Dr. R. F. Trimble and Margaret (nee Mossip), husband Dave(2018), sister Barbara Farrill (2022) and great grandson Noel (2021).
Connie retired from Grace Hospital purchasing department just before the move to Hotel Dieu. In our youth, hockey and figure skating occupied the household. She became the second president of the South Windsor Figure Skating Club (just a stones throw from our front porch). In retirement she was a loyal attendee of the Grace Hospital retirement luncheon. We are sure she held stock in Sooter’s as she was there every week collecting photos of little Darcy!
As per Connie’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a casual visitation at Families First Funeral Home in East Windsor (1065 Lauzon Rd.) on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 10-11:30 am. If possible, please wear something blue (Connie’s favourite colour).
Observance of Remembrance Day will occur, poppies welcome.
In Connie’s memory please find time to make someone’s day. A bowl of soup,a cup of tea, a cupcake, a card, but most of all conversation.
