Obituary for Corinne Marcoux (nee St. Pierre)

Peacefully on April 18, 2023, at the age of 82, with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Raynald (1995). Loving mother of Gilles and wife Sheila, Guy, and Nicole. Cherished Meme of Chad (1996), Chantelle and husband Rob, Ashley and Joel, Jeremie, Gillian, Dolores and Andrew. Great Meme of Violet, Pearl, Rocco, Scarlett and Bennett. Predeceased by her sister Marie Lewis and husband Jerry, Edmond St. Pierre (survived by Dorothy), Raymond St. Pierre, Clair Marie Comartin and husband Jean Paul, and survived by Victor and wife Rita (the late Lucille). Corinne will be forever remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Corinne taught as a supply teacher for many years in the French school system. She taught kindergarten full time at St. Therese and retired in 2000. Corinne was devoted to her faith and she enjoyed singing in the church choir at St. Rose of Lima Church, where she also served as a Sacristan. She travelled the world, enjoyed camping and watching the sun set at the cottage. When she was home, Corinne found enjoyment in her garden, in music and in her cats.

Special thanks to Latrice Cooling for her exceptional loving care that was above and beyond. Thank you to the staff of Aspen Lake whose compassionate care was so kind during Corinne’s challenge with Alzheimer’s. Thanks also to the Palliative Care nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus. Corinne touched the lives of many, and made a significant impact on them that they will never forget.

If you so desire, donations to Windsor/Essex Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
