Obituary for Courtney Marie Lynn Handsor
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Courtney on July 19, 2022 at 29 years of age.
Adored and devoted mother of Sienna and Landon. Devoted step-mom of Marcus. Cherished daughter of Teena Handsor and Edward Cainen. Loving sister and best friend of Maria (Juan), baby brother Micheal (Courtney), Geoffrey and Gerard. She was the best aunt ever to Shala-Marie, Jazz, Mia, Micheal, Malachi, and Malaya. Dear granddaughter of Debra Handsor (the late William), the late Susan & Robert Purdy, and the late Barbara and Geoff Cainen. She will be sadly missed by her godparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Courtney was a compassionate and caring Personal Support Worker. She was always so happy and made sure everyone around her was always having fun. She loved her family and was the “Life of the Party”. We will dearly miss her energy and her smile, but most of all, her laugh.
If you so desire, donations towards an Educational Trust Fund for her children (cheques payable to Micheal Cainen) would be appreciated by the family.
Visitation Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, (519) 969-5841. On Monday, July 25, 2022, family and friends are invited to meet at Encounter Church, 125 Alma St., Amherstburg, after 10 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery.
