Obituary for Daniel Philipp Hoffmann

We are heartbroken to say our loving son Daniel has been taken from us quite suddenly.

Only child of Berny and Wendy. Cherished grandson of the late Hilde & Philipp Hoffmann and the late Carrie & Stewart Rickert. Loving nephew of Carolynn Logan (Jim), Paulette Beasley (Matt), Judy Mattis (Garry), Ellen Pinheiro, Fred Hoffmann (Janet), Dorothy James (Bob), Gary Hoffmann. Many cousins will miss his fun stories and easy going nature at all our family gatherings.

Daniel was such a kind and gentle young man who made friends easily and valued each and every one. Ash, you will always hold a special place in our hearts because you made him so happy for over 3 years. He loved nothing more than watching a Leaf’s game, either in person or on TV, texting with his dad all night about the terrible reffing. He loved his work and enjoyed a very successful career in Toronto. His trips home were filled with a lot of laughs, good food and reconnecting with old friends. During Covid, he became quite a good cook and couldn’t wait to come home and try his new recipes out on us. We will always hear his footsteps in the hallway and his question…”what’s for dinner?”.

Fate can change your life in an instant so hold tight to your loved ones.

“Goodnight sweet prince, goodnight. Until we meet again”.

A private family service by invitation only will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to view the service via livestream in real time on Daniel’s online profile. Arrangements entrusted to Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
