Obituary for Danielle Laura Zurczak

Passed away peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, on August 28, 2020 at 72 years of age.

Beloved wife, best friend and travel companion of 53 years to Richard. Cherished mother of Christopher (Patricia) and her late daughters Laura (1972), Katherine (1973) and Donna (1974). Adored mémé of Mitchell, Macie, Nicholas and Nathan. Predeceased by her parents Emery (1990) and Lillian (1993) Savage and her brother Norman (1988). She is survived by siblings Colette Trudelle (Gilbert), and Marc Savage (Colleen). Sister-in-law of Joseph Zurczak, and Donna Kobielski (Richard). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

She worked 26 years with the provincial government and retired from the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development as a Training Consultant. Danielle was an avid traveller who loved to cruise. She enjoyed bowling on the Monday night mixed league at the Superbowl.

A special thanks to the Hospice of Windsor staff and her family physician, Dr. M. Herzenberg.

In January of 2010, Danielle was the grateful recipient of an organ transplant donation.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial mass was held at St. Anne’s Church on August 31, 2020.
