Darlene truly was one of a kind in the best possible way.
She was quick witted, sharp tongued, a straight shooter and one of the strongest people you ever met.
She loved all animals, especially cats and pandas and while pink was her favourite colour, she definitely had a green thumb and was always willing to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with everyone she met.
Darlene absolutely loved children and throughout her lifetime she helped to raise, nurture and set straight so many of us with her rough around the edges, soft on the inside, approach.
You never had to pretend to be anything but yourself around her, because you knew she loved you exactly the way you were.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and if you were lucky enough to be the butt of one of her jokes - you were family.
Darlene never liked saying goodbye, so,
Until we meet again,
" See ya later, alligator"

Honorary children Mark (predeceased), Kim, David and so many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends, including those from the Village at St. Clair.

Darlene will be cremated, with her celebration of life to be held later in the year.
