Obituary for David James Lambert

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2023 at 82 years of age.

Beloved husband of 55 years to Marilyn (nee Himsl). Loving and devoted Dad to Michael (Tammy), James, Katrina (Brandon), and Stephen (Melissa). Cherished and proud Papa of Christopher, Jack, Wyatt, Kaedyn and Bronson. Dearest son of the late James and Margery. Dear brother-in-law to Darlene (Rene) Tremblay, Wayne (Mary) Himsl, Bonnie Himsl, and Michael Himsl. Fondly remembered by the Lambert and Greenwood families, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dave was a true family man and valued time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. A close second to family would be his enjoyment of a cold pint of beer, sharing jokes or delivering a solid pun. Dave was an avid hobbyist accomplished in building and painting WWII dioramas and a wonder to his grandchildren for his legendary model railroad.

If you so desire, donations to World Wildlife Fund Canada, Jump Start or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 3-6pm. A celebration of David’s life will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:30am at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Cremation to follow.
