Obituary for David Alan Snively

David Snively, beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2024 at the age of 65 in London, Ontario leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

David's devotion to his family was unwavering. He will be forever loved and remembered by his loving wife, Tracey, and their sons Justin (Jonathan), Jordan (Marie), and Corey. David was a cherished Papa to Caden, Ethan, and Violet, Kenzi, and Grayson, and their mother Traci. His grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to his life and they will miss their Papa greatly.

David's late parents, Myron and Roberta, were dear to him, as was his late brother John (Heather) and his surviving siblings, Myron (Cheryl), Michael (Aubrey), Ron (Mira), Rob, Carrie (Dennis), Aimee, and Matthew (Jodi). He was a cherished son-in-law to the late Clayton and Audrey Tourangeau and a beloved brother-in-law to Jay (Lynn), Terry (Roy), and Tina (Ron). David will also be deeply missed by his numerous nieces and nephews.

David's dedication to his work was evident in his 30-plus year career at Ford Motor Company, where he retired with pride. He had a passion for working on cars and was known for his skill and expertise in this area. An avid sports enthusiast, David had a special place in his heart for the Detroit Lions, and his love for the game was infectious.

However, David's greatest joy came from being a fierce family man. He adored his wife and found immense happiness in spending time with his sons and grandchildren. His family was the center of his world.

In his honor, a visitation will be held at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave, South Windsor, on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Prayers and words to remember David’s life will be held at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Childhood Cancer Canada Foundation.

David Snively's presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
