Obituary for Delfina Zangari

After a lengthy illness on May 20, 2019 at 87 years of age. Beloved wife of John Zangari, and the late Gilbert Dupuis (1975). Daughter of the late Giordono and Yolanda Sartori. Cherished mother of Robert (Susan) Dupuis, the late David (2018) husband of Wendie, Gina (Richard) Cook and step-mother of John (Nicole), Richard (Betty), David (Sheila) and Jean Zangari. Loving grandma of Brian, Eric, Jesse (Belinda), Jennifer (Sotiris), Patrick, Jonathan, Katlin (Kyle), Lauren (Joe), Bob, Michael (Victoria), Daniel (Elizabeth), Nicholas (Starr) and great-grandma of Arabella, Jane, Henry, Elizabeth, James, Theodore and Abigail. Dear sister of Victor (Joan), John (Denise) and the late Lena and Reno Salvador. Delfina started working for St. Clair College in 1967 while it was still W.O.I.T. on Mercer St. She was a secretary for many years and even for President Q. He convinced her to complete her Degree and began teaching at the main building where she taught Office Administration as well as other subjects. She formed a close knit bond with her colleagues Marge Preston, Mary Ann Dafoe, Lori Caba, Florence Grondin and with a number of others including Barbara Geiger. She was quite active in various activities, Dancing, Skiing, Tennis and Curling to name a few. She and husband John took many trips to many parts of the world. Her favourite times were in Italy. Del was a most loving and active person. She will be missed very much by her family, friends and particularly her husband John. Our heartfelt thanks to Huron Terrace, Meadow’s Unit and Kim were outstanding, and will always be remembered. She was also a resident of Amica Windsor for 3 years. If you so desire, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 3-5pm, 7-9pm. Parish prayers Thursday 8pm at FAMILIES FIRST, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841 On Friday family and friends will meet at St. John Vianney Church after 10am followed by Mass at 11am.
