Passed away peacefully on March 19, 2022 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ioannis (1990). Demetra will be greatly missed by her son Bob, grandchildren Alexis (Kevin) and Nick and their mother Georgia; and her son Sam (Becky) and grandchildren John and Jessica. Survived by her sister Eleni (the late Panagiotis) and nieces Bessy (Rich) and Dina (Don) in Windsor. Predeceased by her siblings Thanasi, Konstantina (the late Kosta), and Lambros (Sotiria). Demetra will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Michigan and Greece. She immigrated to Windsor in 1958 where she married Ioannis and started a family with him. “Gina” devoted many years of her life working for GM at the trim plant until 1994, where she was known as a hard worker and made many friends.

Visitation on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Wednesday, March 23, 2022 a Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3052 Walker Rd., beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
