Went to meet her Lord and Saviour, on January 11, 2020 at the age of 58 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is deeply mourned by her husband John, with whom she celebrated 33 years of marriage in August, her children Michelle Karr (Nathan), Jamie (Zachary), and sweet granddaughter Opal.

She is predeceased by her parents Donald and Genevieve Lafond. Denise is survived by her siblings Donald Lafond, Yvette Campeau (Roger), and Beverly St. Pierre. Daughter in law of Jeanne Beemer and the late Percival Beemer, and sister in law of Maureen Peacock (Steve). Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Denise dedicated her life to caring for others starting her career as a personal care worker at La Chaumiere, then lovingly raising her children at home, and compassionately assisting seniors in their homes. Denise worshiped at Tecumseh United Church, where she served the community in numerous ways. She was always thinking of others, and in her last months continued to put together care packages. Denise touched countless lives, found beauty in the wonder of nature and sought to find the good in every situation. In recent months, Denise was most excited about her new role as Nana. We would like to thank Denise's care team, including the Valero Wellness Team and Dr. Rukavina and the Hospice care team, for their support and service. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at Tecumseh United Church (333 Lacasse Blvd.) on Tuesday from 7 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will continue on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service celebrating her life at 11 am.
