VARLAKI, Diane Margaret (nee Muirhead)
By the grace and mercy of God passed away peacefully with her children by her side on May 24, 2023 at 73 years of age. Devoted wife of Oscar for 50 years. Mum to Lisa (Joe Scott) and Allen. Grammy to Jasper, shining star of her life. Predeceased by parents William and Rita and beloved brother Daniel. She will be sadly missed by her cherished aunt Noreen and an extended family of cousins and friends. Always most herself in the love and service of others, she pursued a career in insurance as a claims adjuster and later as an advocate for those seeking justice therefrom. Nourished by her faith and sustained by warm friendships and the opportunities to bring comfort she relished, family reigned supreme. Mother, matriarch, the centre of many lives, her passing leaves both pain and the inspiration to live as she did: for those she loved. Visitation on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 6-9 PM with Vigil Prayers at 8 PM at Families First (3260 Dougall Ave.). Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Cremation to follow.
