Obituary for Dimitrios "Jim" Iatridis
Passed away peacefully on March 12, 2023 with his loving wife by his side at the age of 82. Dimitrios was born in Dafni, Serres in Greece on January 21, 1941.
Cherished husband of 52 years to Irene. Loving father to Eleftheria (Dimitris Foukas) and Constantine (Ashley McMillan). Beloved Papou to Noah, Jason, Odysseas, and Lucas. Will be remembered by his sister in Greece Eleni and sister-in-law Eleni (Tom Halopoulos). He will be loved and remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins here and in Greece.
Predeceased by his siblings Christos and Fotini, and his parents Eleftheria and Dimitrios.
Dimitrios loved to work outside in his garden and his greenhouse, which he built on his own. He spent much of his retirement outside in his garden. Dimitrios and Irene travelled to many places in their retirement with family and friends, creating incredible memories. He was a member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church for over 50 years, and a member of Macedonian Society. Dimitrios always looked forward to any time he could spend with his grandchildren and his family, they were the most important thing in his life.

On March 20, 2023 visitation will take place from 4pm – 7pm with Thrice Holy Hymn at 7pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On March 21, family and friends are invited to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church for a mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
