Obituary for Djuro Kovacevic
Passed away suddenly on April 23, 2022 at the age of 73.
Loving father to three daughters, Svetlana (Sean) MacPhail, Jelena Kovacevic, Martina Kovacevic. Dear Deda of Logan. Son of the late Dusan and Draginja Kovacevic. Brother to Nesa and Milan (Zuzana) Kovacevic and late Mira (Antun) Skenderovic. Uncle to Sandra (Helmut), Dusan, Predrag, Nenad, and late Sasa. Great uncle to Mathias, Stevan, and Tim. He will be missed by many friends, family and kumovi.
Recently retired from a dedicated career at Jamieson Laboratories with inspirations of travel and enjoying more time with family and friends. He was an avid reader and master of crossword puzzles. He loved making others laugh, especially during the spirited competition of family game nights. He prided himself in taking utmost care of his loved ones.
Visitation on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Wednesday, April 27, 2022 family and friends are requested to meet at St. Dimitrije Serbian Orthodox Church (2690 Seminole St.) for funeral service at 11am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
