Dobrodiyka Nadia Metulynsky

Nadia was released from her mortal body in her 90th year and reunited with the love of her life, the late Very Rev. Vitaliy Metulynsky (1995). Loving mother of the late Eugene (2011), Walt (Natalie), and George (Nadia). Loving Babtsia of Melanie (David), Stacey (Sean), and Mark (Sarah). Pra-Baba of Emily, Jeff, Charlie, Maddy, and Sam. Godmother of Ryia and Natalie. Beloved sister of Walter (Maria), Alex and the late Ryia. Predeceased by her parents Ivan and Anna Mokienko. She will be missed by many extended family and friends.

Nadia survived the horrors of the famine in Ukraine and WWII, and was a woman of great faith. She devoted her life in service of the church and Ukrainian culture, teaching the youth through Ukrainian School and Sunday School for many years. Nadia was widely respected by the Ukrainian Communities in Michigan and Ontario. Longtime member of The Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Vladimir, where she was a member of the choir, and the Ukrainian Women’s Association, Lesia Ukrainka Branch.

Special thanks to the staff at Villages of St. Clair and her PSWs Joyce, Anne, and Nancy, for their compassionate care.

For those who wish, donations to The Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Vladimir or the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus through the Shevchenko Foundation would be appreciated.
