Donald Dotzert

July 6, 1926-June 9, 2020 at 93 years of age.

Don passed away quietly leaving behind his beloved wife Sylvia (Roberts) Dotzert. Born in Wallaceburg to the late Ellis and Helen (Williams) Dotzert. Brothers Gord and Lyle (both deceased). Nieces Vicky (John Bernat) B.C., Karen (Briand Long) England and Gary (Sophie) Dotzert Windsor.

Don was employed with Canada Steamship Lines for 11 years, then Chrysler 444 until his retirement. Don loved animals, nature, Opera, travelling and the finer things in life. Don and Sylvia travelled extensively, before and after retiring. When Don made a friend they were a friend for life. That included the Dymytro family and the Elliott family (American neighbours for 53 years). Don was also a proud member of the Unitarian Church of Olinda. Don built his home in Tecumseh without a contractor and Don and Sylvia lived there for 53 years, before moving to Amica Retirement Living. Thanks to Glen Jackson and Angie Sultana. Without their help nothing would have been achieved in these last few months. If you so desire, memorial donations to the Unitarian Church of Olinda would be appreciated by the family. Cremation services has taken place.
