After a brief illness, peacefully, on December 31, 2019 at the age of 79. Loving husband of Sharon (nee Danforth) for 57 years. Devoted father of Terri Lacroix (Al) and Kristin Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Ryan, Taylor, John and Jeff. Dear brother of Gayle Herron (George) and Bill Yates (Yvonne). Dear brother-in-law of Dianne Hogan and Denise Stroude. Don will be lovingly remembered as well by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Helen Yates.

Don was retired from General Motors (Transmission Plant). He was very involved with Cystic Fibrosis Canada, and was also a life member of the Kinsmen Club of Windsor. Don loved to travel, and especially enjoyed cruises with his family.

Memorial Visitation Saturday January 4, 2020 from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

On Sunday, January 5, 2020, there will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Don’s life at 1:00 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
