Condolences & Donations

My sincere condolences to all of Donna’s family, she was such a special lady. Dealing with Donna and all of the Borrowman family was always a great pleasure during my years at DPM. A long time ago, Donna gave me one of her beautiful lace angels, I will continue to remember her whenever I see it. May your treasured memories of her and Calvin bring comfort and peace to all of you.

Our Family Extend Most Sincere Sympathy To Our Borrowman Cousins.
I, Don with health and distance being the major factor was unable to be with you in person, however my spouse Patricia and I including our family are by your side in Spirit & Prayer.

Memories abound of Donna with I, Calvin and his sister Ena being second cousins, the Borrowman’s Grove/Jellystone Park era and our many Family Reunions held there with surnames Borrowman and Squire alternating annually in memory of our Grt. Grandparents Alex. II and Elizabeth (Squire) Borrowman. Although currently the reunions are held elswhere and perhaps beyond belief however they have existed to the present year for over thirty years and somewhat thanks to your family’s gracious support by providing use of the campground in earlier years.

Then I well remember Calvin’s father Harold and being my Dad Kenneth’s first cousin and Harold’s father Tom who had initially purchased the farm and being a brother of my Grandfather Alex. III, the latter who had passed away prior to my era.

Doug and Royce, not to be forgotten is your brother Allan who passed away unfortunately at an early age, while I employed at the Tecumseh Green Giant Plant would have on occasion many brief moments of conversation with him as he hauled Sweet Corn with his very impressive black and meticulously cared for semi-truck and trailer. Then when in the area we would visit he and Gisele briefly, which was always a pleasure to reminisce as my mother Verlie (Dubé) was born in 1904 in a log house on a nearby farm to the east which had been that of her Great Grandparents from Québec. She had attended the stone faced cement block school on Meloche Rd. some distance to the west with your grandfather Harold and his brother Ed.

As someone else put, Borrowman's grove will always hold a special place in so many of our hearts. I was employed by the Borrowman's at Jelly stone park for many summers. Donna was so good to me. Thank you so much for all you did for me; you helped me save for university and gave me some of the best memories of my life. Definitely an upstanding kind FAIR and generous woman. Her actions influenced the trajectory of my journey that's for certain and allowed me opportunities I otherwise would not have been able to of obtained. You will be missed, and never forgotten. Forever in my heart. thank you thank you thank you for your kindness. Love you Donna
