Obituary for Doug Ives
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on October 9, 2021 at the age of 66.
Loving husband of Cynthia for 41 years. Devoted father of David (Jacquelyn) and Mark (Paulina). Proud granddad of Theodore. Dear son of Betty and the late Albert Ives. Dear brother of Kathryn Rutherford (Greg) and Joanne Cerovec (Damir). Uncle to Tania (Darryl) Ballard, Danielle Cerovec, and Adrian Cerovec (Katie) and great-uncle to Violet.
Doug was the proud owner and operator of Campbell Window Cleaning since 1975. He was an avid antique car collector and enjoyed car shows/cruises with other car enthusiasts.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 4th floor Oncology department at Windsor Regional Metropolitan Campus. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to Colorectal Cancer Canada.
Reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend the visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home in South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave., 519-969-5841). The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. A livestream link of the service will be available on Doug’s online profile at our website. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Reservations may be made online at www.familiesfirst.ca (RSVP) or by phone.
