Doug Ralph James Ouellette

Doug leaves behind his wife Denise, his two sons Stephen (Erica), Michael (Brittany) as well as his two grandchildren Hudson and Anderson whom he loved dearly. Dear son of Esther and the late Ralph. Cherished brother of Linda (Don) Balkwill, Bonnie Dugal, Nancy (Rick) Smith, Cathy (Wes) Kivinen, and Greg (Sandy) Ouellette. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brother in law of Kelly (Rob) Mallette, Leo McIntyre.

Doug retired from Sears Canada Inc after 40 years of service while working in the Windsor, Chatham, London and Victoria B.C stores. He had incredible energy and enthusiasm for life and cherished his time in Victoria BC. Doug and Denise moved back home from Victoria and Doug began a new chapter in his life, he was welcomed into the Tepperman family as General Manager and proudly worked there after he was diagnosed with MSA as long as his illness would allow. Doug will be remembered for his strength and he fought a long and challenging battle right until the end.

The family would like to thank everyone involved in Doug’s care; The LHIN, St. Elizabeth’s Healthcare and Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (Dr. Y. Emara Bld), especially the staff on the second floor who gave Doug the best care anyone could possibly imagine. Also thank you to Dr. David Paterson and Dr. Sijan for their kindness and support. Donations to Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare - Complex Medical Care would be appreciated by the family. On Wednesday, reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the Celebration of Doug’s Life at 1:00 pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. You can reserve your time for visitation or a seat for the service at FamiliesFirst.ca (RSVP) or by calling directly.

To all the Ouellette family,
We are sorry and saddened by your loss of Doug.
As many of the Ouellette family know, our family, the Hursts grew up two doors down from the Ouellette’s.
May the Lord comfort you, each one.
With sympathy and love,
Cathy & Gary Rankine
