Obituary for Douglas Marshall Globe

With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Marshall Globe, of Windsor Ontario, on December 10, 2022 at 52 years of age. He was born to late Donna Jean Crosby, James Globe (Jim) on January 18th 1970. Douglas is survived by his children, grand-children, his siblings David Earl Globe, James Globe Jr, Virgina Cook, Janette Globe, Cortez Globe, Jerome Globe, Kenneth (Kenny) Globe, Sharon Globe, Norman Globe; Denise Crosby-Goodwin, Robert Crosby, Ronald Crosby, Mark Crosby, Christine Crosby, Predeceased Allan Crosby. Douglas also leaves behind his beloved dog Buddy, a multitude of nieces and nephews, cousins, inlaws and friends.

Douglas had an optimistic outlook on life, was tremendously resilient, as he never showed any signs of adversities, and always remembered to count his blessings. Douglas carried with him a kind patient heart, a great sense of humor, and most importantly all the great memories he collected over the span of his life. Douglas prided himself as a dedicated construction worker, but he was more than that, he was a jack of many trades, as well as a dedicated roofer for decades; he could point at a house on almost every street in Windsor, he had fixed up, and that was a big part of his legacy. Douglas loved fishing, family gatherings, bingo nights, scratch tickets, betting on the sports pools and throwing down in a game of monops. He enjoyed a good Chinese combo for one, large 3 sugar 2 creams coffees, cottage farms Caribbean fish candies and singing to mostly any genre of music, even the tunes he didn’t know he would still sing.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held to celebrate the life of Douglas Marshall Globe at later date.
