I knew Doug through my position at Sandwich Community Health Centre prior to my retirement 11 years ago. He was always a kind, interesting and intelligent man. We were so sorry to hear about Doug. He was such a lovely man whom we will remember with great affection . First met Doug and Dorothy and our Canadian Walmsleys in 1977 . Since then I have been in regular contact , hearing all the news . Doug was so proud if his family in all his letters. What a great man we will all miss. His family will feel his loss all the more. I was so glad that I had the chance to see him last just a week before he died.
