Passed away peacefully on December 16, 2019 at the age of 83.

Loving husband and best friend to Janet Williams. Beloved father to George Warford (Gert Semerjian) and Ian Warford. Loving step-father to Rob Peck, Lisa Peck (Erin Brodie) and Allison Peck. Fun loving grandpa to Zachary Warford, Gabriel Warford, Joshua Doman, Lyndsay Doman (Josh Doan), Jordyn Doman, Avery and Maya Haines, Taylor and Matthew Peck and great-grandfather to Brayden and Evelyn. Dear brother to Lorne (Mary) Warford, Ruth (Doug) Waring and the late Mary Warford. Douglas will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and all the volunteers Douglas has worked beside at the Windsor and Essex Cancer Centre Foundation and St. Matthew’s Anglican Church.

Douglas was an elementary school teacher and later became a Professor at St. Clair College. His passion for life-long learning was reflected in everything and everyone he touched. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church or the Windsor & Essex Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Memorial visiting Friday December 20, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church 1600 Norfolk St. Windsor.
