Condolences & Donations

Gerry was such a powerful presence in my life at so many important moments. He delivered my daughter on an ice stormy January night nearly 45 years ago. He saved my life by insisting I not ignore a health issue. He taught me how to give a painless shot, without which I don't believe I would have become a nurse. We cried together the night my uncle died. His son, Ian, was my first love, and gave me my first kiss (at age 8). I haven't seen him in many years, but he has often been in my thoughts. The world is a lesser place without him. Joan

Veronica Barris: His was the very first face I ever saw on the planet. I will always remember suckers in his pocket after every visit and the kindness he showed me forever.

To: THE SALVATION ARMY SOUTH WINDSOR CITADEL CORPS
We've been away since Sunday morning and upon our return home this afternoon we were made aware of Gerald's recent passing....
Dear Joyce, Carole and family:
We are so terribly sorry for your loss. Gerald had such a beautiful personality; he introduced himself to me ten years ago when we moved into the neighbourhood and then graciously offered to help me hang my metal plant screen and garden hose rack. He was a real gentleman: always happy, smiling and gracious. Please accept our sincere condolences. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and give you the comfort and strength that you need during this time of sadness.
