My family moved to Canada in 1976 from Lebanon and we were well cared for by Dr. Ziter. Dr. Ziter made one phone call that changed my parents life here in Canada forever. The one phone call to his friend got my father a good job that helped support our family and helped us live a beautiful life here in Canada. Our deepest condolences to the Ziter family. Dr. Ziter was our family doctor for 4 generations of my family. He was loved and respected by everyone. As a young girl I remember him doing housecalls to my grandparens David and Edna Bianchi on Martin Lane in River Canard. I am sure he headed home with fresh produce from the garden and eggs from the henhouse as a payment. Such a caring gentleman to go out of his way for seniors. My parents William and Virginia Carr and my siblings were also his patients. I remember the office on Aubin St. in Windsor that was so small people waited sitting on the staircase to see him. He was respected that much. When I got married 50 years ago he sent us a beautiful wedding gift that I still treasure to this day. When my Mother passed the first name on the guest book was his. Such a caring man to all his patients. He was the type of doctor who even after his practice closed would still visit you if he saw one of his previous patients in the hospital. Such an incredible man who our family will always remember and be thankful he touched our lives. God Bless you Dr. Ziter may you rest in peace your work here is now done.
