Obituary for Eleanor "Bunny" Tonkin
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful sweet Mumma Eleanor Annette (Bunny) Tonkin (nee Nantais) - November 11, 1929 - April 16, 2021. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters. Reunited with her beloved husband Mel (2017). Predeceased by her parents Leo Joseph (1952) and Ida Virginia (1989), precious grandson Daniel Arksey (2006), and son Mark (2009). Loving and devoted mother of Susan (Dr. Edward Cancade), Mark (2009) (Darlene), Patricia Collison (Matt), Christine (Arksey) Chehade (Ali) and Barbara McFarland (Patrick). Proud Grandma Bunny of Matt, Mike, Kyle, Melanie, Jeff, Kate, Rick, Chris, Jordan, Connor, Stevie, Cameron, and Nikki. Great Grandma Bun Bun of Jace, Aubrey and Ella, Briar, Ellie and Aiden, Elliot and Ezra, and Leon. Respected and loved mother-in-law of Darlene Tonkin (Cook), cherished sister of Gordon (1994), Geraldine (2015), Gail (2016), Dorothy (2019), and Patricia. Eleanor will be lovingly remembered for her dedication and love of her family, and cherished the times she spent with them. Her smile and sweet voice will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

Reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation and services.
Visitation Tuesday April 20, 2021 from 3:00 pm 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm 9:00 p.m.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday at Families First Funeral Home 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 at 1:00 pm.
On Wednesday, a livestream link of the funeral service will be available on Eleanors’s online profile in real time. On Wednesday at 12:15 pm Bunny's Life in Photos will be shared at the link below. This video montage will play until 1 pm at which time the service will begin.
A private family burial will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
