Obituary for Elias Triantafillos

Passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on December 24, 2020 at the age of 80.

Loving husband to Dina (nee Papantoni), with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage. Beloved father to Stella (Jorge) Latoni, Soula (Louie) Stankovich. Treasured Papou to Sofia, Nico, Alexia, Mia and Luka. Dear son to the late Athanasios and Styliani Triantafillos of Greece. Loving brother of Alex (Mary) Triantafyllos of Windsor. Loving brother-in-law to Vaia (Themis) Karaouzas of Windsor. Elias will be sadly missed by his brother, sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families in Greece. Beloved uncle to Sia, Effie and Louie of Windsor along with many nieces, nephews, cousins here and in the U.S. Elias will be missed by his many friends and neighbours.

Elias has been retired for 18 years from the Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. During his retirement he enjoyed gardening, going for walks, working on crosswords and an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He volunteered his time at the church, where he would also meet his friends for his weekly card games. Elias enjoyed spending time with his family and was known as the BBQ King. Elias’s family would like to send a very special thank you to Dr. Shamisa and all the nurses at Hotel Dieu Ouellette Campus. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. If you so desire memorial donations to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A private family visitation will take place at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 followed by a private family service at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church.
