Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Renaud

Dad called her to join him for tea on their swing on December 27, 2019.

At the age of 92 years, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice Residential Home. Beloved wife of the late Eugene (Gene) (2014). Loving mother and best friend of Carole Gill (nee Paquette/Carter) and Randy Gould, Marc Renaud and Donna Snider, Kevin Renaud and Claudine Lacasse. Cherished grandma to Jason and Penny Carter, Brooke Renaud and Matthew Renaud.

Loving sister predeceased by Florence and Romeo Leblanc, Richard and Feldora Doucette, Blair Doucette, Leonard and Patricia Doucette, Lucie Schmidt, Edgar and Rose Doucette. Sister-in-law of Theresa Sorrell, Bernard and Bijou Renaud, and Shirley-Ann Schrobel. Predeceased by George and Victoria Renaud, Marguerite and Jake Warren, Gerald Renaud, Jacqueline and Don Duby, Bernadette Bruner and Helen Harcus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Adopted mom to the late Randy Rawson (2019), Sandy Rawson, Rick Rawson, Cheryl Sampson, Ronnie Rawson, Sue Mattiuz and Erica Sweezey.

Betty exemplified a strong faith, an independent character and a kind heart throughout her entire life. She was committed to the community and worked diligently as a longtime member of the Optimist Club of Essex, The Catholic Women’s League for over 50 years, and Essex Minor Baseball. Betty will be remembered for her exquisite pastry and her desire to feed everyone; especially those in need as well as a longtime supporter of the Essex Food Bank. Donations to the Hospice Residential Home would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation Thursday January 2, 2020 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., Parish and CWL Prayers Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday January 3, 2020 from 9:00 am until 9:45 am leaving from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to Most Precious Blood Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
