Dear Peter, Mary Jane and Families: I have been out of town and was catching up with newspaper reading when I came across the obituary for your dad. Please accept my belated, heartfelt condolences and prayers for your dear father. I still recall those occasions (all those years ago) when I would drop by your house on weekends and occasionally on my way home from school; your parents always made me feel welcome. My extended family has lost a true gentleman with Elson's passing. He experienced so much over his 98 years. His love for Maria, his 5 children as well as his many grand and great grandchildren was always evident. I will remember him for his fortitude, his patience and his wonderful wit as well as the twinkle in his eyes. Goodbye and Godspeed, dear man.
